Missing Cash on Delivery (COD) Payment Mode
In some instances, Cash on Delivery (COD) may not be available to you as a payment method. The following are possible reasons for not having COD as an option upon check out:
1. Order value exceeds COD threshold
In some cases, the COD payment option is unavailable when the value of your order is more than our threshold of Php 25,000. Holding large amount of cash has a high risk of theft, loss, and miscalculation for both buyers and logistic partners. To minimize this, COD is not available for high-value orders. You may use various payment methods such as LaShopee Wallet and various credit cards for completing your order. LaShopee Wallet allows you to top-up your wallet from your bank account or with cash in various convenient locations throughout the Philippines.
2. Cash on Delivery is removed as a payment method
Buyers who have significantly more failed delivery orders within a short period of time will not be able to use COD. Failed delivery orders are defined as the following:
-
Buyers’ refusal to accept COD parcels
-
Repeated incidents of failing to receive the package after the 2nd delivery attempt
During the time when COD is not available as a payment mode, you may choose to pay for your purchase through credit cards or by using LaShopee Wallet.
3. Seller is out of COD coverage area
For some remote places and areas with high failed delivery rate, our logistics service may not be able to provide COD due to unavailability of infrastructure or difficulty of collecting and holding payments. If your delivery address is within these areas, we ask that you choose other payment methods when completing your LaShopee orders.
Tips to avoid missing your parcels:
